"Adulting" aside, life is good on this end (albeit a bit busy!) AX Artist Alley was a HUGE success this year (especially since I joined very last minute!), and we're gonna try to pack in more conventions 2016. Hopefully a new username soon, as well as offering some stuff to sell, but only if life doesn't get in the way of all that: work and responsibilities first; fun stuff second.

Hola DA folks! I hope everyone is doing well

Just a head's up: work, conventions, and life events in general are kicking ma buns right now, so from now through mid-September, I shall be only sporadically active here on DA. So very sorry, but there are other things in life that take precedent over fun DA stuff. Ah, the joy of being an adult

When I return, however, this DA page will be getting quite the upgrade: lots more art, a huge focus on Anthro, the purchase of a premium membership, to name a few. I promise, too, to get back to all of you who have watched/fav-spammed me over the last few months, but before I address you each individually, consider this a collective THANK YOU!

...holy cow, what am I getting myself into?

Hello Deviants! I hope everyone is well. Lots going on on this end (nothing new there) but I am, as per the usual, currently in the process of making decisions that will put EVEN MORE on my plate...and that's kinda where you come in.

I am debating whether or not to create two GROUPS here on Deviant Art, and would LOVE to hear your input: what's it like being the admin of a group? what obstacles have you noticed when participating in groups? Anything group-related, I'd like to hear it! My two prospective groups are as follows:

H2T2 --Hooves, Horns, Trunks, and Tusks--a group dedicated to showcasing the rather unappreciated ungulates of the Anthro world

and

Beaked Beauties -- a group focusing on Brooklyn of Gargoyles, but more importantly, other cannon and OC beaked characters

The latter group is honestly not as important as H2T2; I'm not sure just how popular a beaked-gargoyle-themed page would be, so I'm really not too worried about launching that unless I get overwhelmingly positive feedback. The ANTHRO page, however, I would like to get going sometime here within the next month, ideally in time for CaliFur.

Thoughts? Concerns? Warnings? Screams of "NO DON'T DO IT!"?

Character history: Brought to America as an egg by his mother and father who died from the trip over to Florida from Europe, Shadow was found by a US Civil War veteran gargoyle named Cobblestone during the Spanish-American War in 1898 and was hatched in the first few years of the 1900's. Cobblestone taught Shadow how to be an American soldier living in the New World adopting some of the best of human qualities to go with his gargoyle nature, which helped him survive all on his own after Cobblestone was killed in battle during World War 1. Shadow matured further as a warrior by fighting crime in New Jersey through the 1920's until he revealed himself to the US government wanting to help his country during the Great Depression of the 1930's. Trained as a commando and made top secret by the US Army, he briefly served the FBI against organized crime and enemy spies before recruited by the OSS when World War 2 began to combat the Axis Powers. Since then, Shadow continuously has been forming his own clan based in Washington DC ever since. He and his clan secretly live in the Pentagon.
